Q. What is the Oikeo Music Guild and why is it important to me?

A.  If you’re a songwriter, worship leader or musician and want to become a
more musically productive part of your church community, we have some ideas
for you.

Q.  How can the Oikeo Music Guild help me?

A.  We connect you and your music with people in communities and churches,
who want your music!  Whether on the radio, in concert or published, the Oikeo
Music guild helps you take your songs to the people who want to hear them
and purchase them.

Q.  What types of artists does the Oikeo Music Guild work with?

Artists include:

  • Worship leader artists—bringing your own songs to your home church
    & community
  • Touring song-writer artists who perform for a broader regional or
    national audience
  • New songwriter/artists who are looking for a place to grow & be
supported as they develop their songs or music.

Q. How can I get paid for my original worship songs, choir music or hymns?

A.  By acquiring a Christian Copyright Licensing International number (CCLI#).

Q. What does having a CCLI# do for me?

A.  All Churches must pay licensing fees every month so that original music can
be legally sung in congregations around the world.  This means that every time
your song is sung in one of these licensed churches, you receive a small,
ongoing royalty.

Q. How can the Oikeo Music Guild help me get a CCLI#?

A.  As an administrator for CCLI, We take your completed original songs and
submit them to CCLI on your behalf.  This puts your song(s) in the CCLI song-
pool for other worship leaders and pastors around the world to choose from.

Q. What services does the Oikeo Music Guild offer artists?

A.         Radio play

Magazine promotion

Publishing of your original songs

Q. What types of songs qualify to be played on the Oikeo Music Guild radio or
affiliate programs?

A.  The Oikeo Music Guild chooses songs  based on the heart of the lyrics & the
quality of the music.

Q. How can I get my music published or on the radio?

A.  If you are motivated, ambitious and have a passion for crafting your songs,
yet you understand some of your songs may need to be polished-up or fine
tuned, and you have a willingness to grow in your craft, the Oikeo Music Guild
can help get your songs published and even played on the radio!
